I'm disappointed it came with a 1980s plain-Jane rear view mirror that doesn't dim headlights. I was very pleased to see it wearing Bridgestone Alenza tires, which likely contribute to the smooth ride.

I like the 18" wheels rather than the 20" because we have younger drivers and I'm tired of driving scratched up rims from curb hits. Coming off a cloverleaf onto the freeway and you will not want to floor it because you'll catch traffic too fast. It has a very smooth ride and the V6 w/ 9 speed automatic is surprisingly quick. It says it's an AWD but this is the first AWD I've seen with a 4X4 selector switch.
The plastic mats, while all the rage these days, are not really our style. We got the LT leather package which is a great balance of … value versus luxury. The space under the back for storage is very deep. The tow package is modern and hidden until needed. It seats 4 people very comfortably, 6 nicely, and 7 if we were in a pinch. It's a little longer than a Durango but seems to be much more spacious inside. The Kia Telluride is the best you can get, and it's also due for a refresh in 2023. On top of that, class leaders deliver more features and higher-quality interiors for less.Īs a result, we suggest checking out the competition before deciding on a Chevy Traverse.
The Traverse suffers with poor rearward visibility and an interior rife with far too much hard plastic, making it look and feel out of place among competitors that flirt with entry-level luxury. The 2023 Chevrolet Traverse returns unchanged from last year, and while we award points for its responsive acceleration, intuitive infotainment system, and impressive passenger and cargo space, those traits are not enough to draw even with rivals.
